If you have a child and considering getting your him or her into Supremacy BJJ, do it. My daughter loves it! She is getting strong, knows respect, and shows more confidence because of Supremacy BJJ. Coach Cody does such a great job with the kids with instruction and the classes are always safe under his supervision. I literally cannot get this girl to stop wanting to learn more. She loves it! Thank you Supremacy BJJ.

The most welcoming school in the area! Very clean and professional. The school has such an encouraging environment for all ages and genders. In fact my own sister has gone and trained there.. It's hard to find a place that welcomes you with open arms like they do!!

World class professor and school. Supremacy provides the proper instruction and direction to help you develop and grow your Jiu Jitsu skills. From children to adults, it's a family atmosphere. All students receive the attention that they need, from beginners to the most skilled. You won't be disappointed. I've been training at Supremacy for 3 years and going strong.

My son Matthew is 15 and he loves coming here, training is incredible, one of the best decisions we have made! The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable and they make the lessons fun. They break the techniques down and are willing to review them with the students until they feel comfortable with and understand them. The environment is always a friendly and welcoming one.

If you want to train BJJ I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to come here. Everyone is very friendly and the coach starting out (coach Bobby) is an awesome guy who will do anything in order to help and make you feel comfortable with what you're learning. This is the place to go for self-defense, losing weight and getting back in shape or even just to have fun!

Great place to train and have fun. The teachers are incredibly knowledgable and personable. I'd recommend this gym to anyone and everyone. Whether you're trying to learn a martial art or just get in shape, this is the place to go

I can't say enough about this place. I have 2 sons that go here. 1 in the kids class and 1 in the teens class. They both love it and have learned so much. My 6 year old started off slow (because it was something new) but they have worked with him and I have also done private lessons for him that have gave him more confidence. Yes the private lessons are a separate charge but most of the time a private lesson is a separate charge. It's $50 for an hour of one on one. I highly recommend them. I also take a cardio kick boxing in the morning that is amazing. All the people here are very nice and professional.

Laila is without a doubt one of the best coaches I have ever met. She goes out of her way to help her students achieve success. If you want your child to learn the best martial art around, Supremay is the place to take them. The kids are the best trained of any gym and learning is made fun.

If you are over 50 like me your doc probably told you to get off the couch and exercise. Treadmills, weights and hanging around at the gym three times a week won't change your life. Supremacy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will. It's physical, yes. It's a martial art for everyone. More than that it's mental, it's spiritual, it's breathing and it's a chess match using your body. Going to the gym is a good thing. Being part of the Supremacy family is life changing.

I just completed my first week in the beginner course as a white belt and I think this gym is superb. The way we learned the technique for the week was simple and effective. The thing that I thought was better than that was the way Bobby explained the concept behind the technique. He made it easy to understand why we use it and how to use this technique more effectively in a real situation. I will continue to go to Supremacy to learn because of the instructors' positive attitude, the friendly environment that everyone has showed me, and the fun of learning this awesome martial art.

My boys needed a summer activity and we placed them with Professor Rodrigo and his team of professionals. I cannot say enough good things about what they learned in the few months Supremacy accommodated them.

When my boys went back home, we found and enrolled in a De la Riva Jiu Jitsu studio. From day one, we received many compliments about the style and skills they learned with the Supremacy staff.

After learning more about the art of BJJ and doing some research, I learned Supremacy is an A Class BJJ studio. I feel we were very lucky to find them on the first try.

If you are considering a BJJ school in the Largo area, I highly recommend Supremacy's team, quality of training and personal attention to detail.

Coach laila is amazing with the twins. They always talk about class, learning new moves and what they did that day. They want a purple belt one day, too.

Clean Gym, Awesome Atmosphere, Great Instruction applicable to all aspects of life. Yes, the workout is phenomenal and you will get into great shape while learning a potentially life saving skill, but it also teaches you patience and the true meaning behind hard work and never giving up. Finding Motivation

Finding motivation to get beat up every day can be difficult, but I’m here to tell it’s possible and rewarding. Self-motivation is the most powerful tool you’ll possess on your path in Jiu Jitsu. Motivation is the driving force for coming to class as much as possible to gain knowledge and mat time to get better. The best way to maintain your motivation is to find a need you have to get from your training. Some tips on how to find that motivation are:

  • Set different time-length goals so you are always working toward something important to you. Below is an example, but your list could be completely different than the one shown. Also, it’s not uncommon for your list to change over time to fit where you are with your training.

o   Short-term – make it to 3 classes a week

o   Mid-term – Reach that next belt

o   Long-term – Achieve your black belt

  • Find people to train with that you connect and can have fun with. It’s important to have friends you want to train with because it can be a much more enjoyable sport if you have others to share it with.
  • Don’t put to much pressure on yourself and have fun.
  • Try a different position or work on new techniques.
  • Compete. Preparing for a competition is a great way to boost your motivation.

Staying motivated can be very tricky, but if you can find the will and push through the darkness the reward on the other side is immeasurable.
